Pip the penguin planned a perfect party. He put up purple paper streamers and passed out party hats.

"Pip!" called Pam the panda. "I'm hopping by to help!"

Pip clapped his flippers. "Perfect! Please pop these balloons up on top of the palm tree."

Pam stopped and stared. "The top of the palm tree? But how can I get up there?"

Pip pulled out a package from behind a pumpkin. "With this purple parachute!"

Pam gasped. "But penguins can't jump high enough to use a parachute!"

Pip smiled. "I have a plan. My pal Pete the pelican will help us up!"

Just then, Pete flew down from a puffy cloud. "Did someone call for a lift?"

Pip and Pam climbed into Pete's deep pouch. It was a tight fit!

"Ready for takeoff!" Pete said.

Up they went! Higher and higher! The people below looked like tiny ants.

"Time to jump!" Pip shouted when they were up high.

Pip opened his purple parachute. But oh no! There was a problem! The parachute had a big rip!

"We're dropping too fast!" yelped Pam.

Pip pulled a rope. A spare parachute popped open!

"Phew!" sighed Pam.

They floated down, spinning and dipping in the wind. Pip and Pam landed right on top of the party snack table!

SPLAT! They fell into a pie!

"Oops!" said Pip, wiping pie from his beak.

Pam giggled. "Your party is even more fun than I hoped!"

And all the animals spent the day playing parachute games and eating pie with purple frosting.
